What to Expect

It is our goal to make the design and development process simple and worry-free. To help you learn a bit about what you can expect when working with us, we’ve outlined our design process steps below.

Step One: Quote Request

To get started, please fill in the quote request form giving as much detail about your project as possible. The more details you provide, the better. This will allow us to give you an accurate proposal for your web design project. We may exchange a few emails before we write the quote so we can make sure we understand all the components needed for your new website.

Step Two: Quote Approval

If everything in the quote looks good to you, we will add your website to our schedule. Also, we will provide you with a web design contract for you to sign and an invoice for the 40%-50% deposit. We require that the signed contract and initial deposit be in our possession before work begins.

Step Three: Design

We will create a mock-up of your new design. This is your chance to tell us what you do and do not like. It is very important that you give us specific feedback at this stage because making major changes once we have moved on to step four may result in an increase to your original design cost estimate.

We typically allow two major changes to the mock-up before we discuss a price increase. Major changes include layout restructuring, new graphics or images, and new features or functionality. Minor tweaks and revisions are accepted throughout the design process.

Step Four: Implementation

Once you have given your final approval to the design layout and features, we will begin code work and CMS integration. And if your payment plan includes three payments, the next installment will be due at the beginning of this stage.

This part of the process is the longest since we write all the code by hand and manually integrate your chosen CMS platform into your custom design. Doing so ensures that your website is solid, search engine optimized, and easy to use for your visitors. We will usually develop your new website on our server so we can test the setup throughout the process to make sure everything is operating as intended.

Step Five: Launch

Once we have finalized all the details of your new website, the final payment will be due. Once payment is received, we will transfer your new website to your domain and run several tests to make sure everything is working properly. It is crucial that you go through your entire website one last time to make sure there is nothing missing and there are no errors.
